Baha’is Gear Up for New Year’s Celebration

Posted: 01/26/12

For Baha’is, the New Year comes at a perfect time – March 21 –the vernal equinox, which marks the first day of spring and the end of the Baha’i Faith’s annual Nineteen Day Fast. Called Naw-Ruz – “new day” in Persian, the Baha’i New Year is one of the nine holy days of the year.

This year, Baha’is in the Portland Metro area are celebrating Naw Ruz in a big way with a metro-wide event full of music, dance and entertainment. Come and join us for an evening of joyous celebration.
