It’s time to celebrate the beginning of the Faith, the 12 holiest days of the Bahá’í year!  Please use the link above to see the calendar of Holy Day activities.

“These celebrations commemorate the beginnings of the Baha’i Faith in 1863, in a beautiful rose garden filled with the songs of nightingales on an island in the middle of the Tigris River. Interfaith Devotions:  Thursday, April 12, 10:00am, Bahá’í Center, 16103 SW Lake Forest Blvd., Lake Oswego, OR, 97035.   Devotionals will include a selection of prayers and readings from a variety of religious scriptures and sacred traditions, followed by fellowship and light refreshments.  The Prayer Room and Bahá’í Bookstore will be open from 10-11:30 am.  Everyone is welcome.  For more information, please call Beth at 503-636-1674.  (Repeats every Thursday through May 3.)

Dialog: “The Soul and the Afterlife” Friday, April 13, 7:00 pm, Bahá’í Center, 16103 Lake Forest Blvd., Lake Oswego, OR 97035.  Speaker Dr. Steven Phelps.  Dr. Phelps (Ph.D., physics, Princeton University, 2000; B.S., physics, Stanford University, 1993; B.A., philosophy, Stanford University, 1993) served at the Baha’i World Center for 13 years in its Research Department. During that time he concurrently held a position in the Physics Department at the Technion University in Haifa and pursued research in the field of theoretical cosmology.
Come curious. Leave inspired. Light refreshments at 7, discussion begins at 7:30.

Interfaith Prayers for Peace:  Tuesday, May 1, 6:30 pm, Gresham Library, 385 NW Miller Ave, Gresham, Oregon 97030.  Please join our interfaith prayer vigil at the Gresham Library.  Feel free to bring prayers, music, poetry, and other expressions of peace as we seek to build community in troubled times.  Children welcome.  (Monthly on the first Tuesday.)
