100th Anniversary of 'Abdu'l-Baha's visit to America
Exactly 100 years ago, 'Abdu'l-Baha (Son of Baha'u'llah—Founder of the Baha'i Faith) came to America and traveled for nearly a year across the country. His message was simple, yet profound. He spoke of universal peace, of unity between races and the important role the individual has to play in transforming society. Newspapers called him the "Apostle of Peace." The president of Stanford University commented that 'Abdu'l-Baha "will surely unite the East and West, for he treads the mystic path with practical feet."
The website 239 Days, traces 'Abdu'l-Baha's travels day by day through stories of the people who came to meet Him and hear His message.
