October Activities 2024
Of all the days in our lives the most precious is that day we were born into this world. That day allowed all the other wonderful things that followed in our lives. And of all the precious birthdays on this planet the most blessed are those birthdays of God's Divine teachers, which include Krishna, Buddha, Zoroaster, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, the Báb, and Bahá’u’lláh, the Glory of God. The sacred words of the Holy Ones are the exaltation of our souls and the guides to our feet as we walk God’s path. We are living in the religious dispensation of Bahá’u’lláh. We have the bounty of the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh, the key to rebuilding the world to become the heavenly dwelling place that our Creator wishes for us.
The birthdays of the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh will be celebrated November first through third. See below and check the calendar as we get closer for events. Everyone is heartily invited!
Selected activities: See more on the calendar. The Portland, Beaverton, and Vancouver Bahá'í Centers each host weekly in-person devotional gatherings on Sunday, and there are many virtual gatherings.

"Gleanings from the Writings of Bahá'u'lláh is an extremely important compilation that sets out the Bahá'í teachings on a myriad of subjects. Among the themes that fall within its compass are the greatness of the day in which we live, the spiritual requisites of peace and world order, the nature of God and His Prophets, the fulfillment of prophecy, the soul and its immortality, the renewal of civilization, the oneness of the Manifestations of God as agents of one civilizing process, the oneness of humanity, and the purpose of life, to name only a few." -Baha'iBookstore.com
