Cedar Mill gathers for devotions and learning

Cedar Mill Devotional Gathering

The Cedar Mill Neighborhood in Washington County consists of 13 Baha’i households who, along with others from all over, enjoy getting together for neighborhood Feasts, who gather on Saturday mornings for neighborhood devotionals with rotating hosts, and who often spend Monday evenings at the “Soup’s On” supper and devotionals. Our most recent Saturday morning devotional was actually co-hosted by two guests.

Cedar Mill children's class

“There are two neighborhood children’s classes in Cedar Mill, providing spiritual education for 14 children – 5 Baha’is and 9 of their friends. There is one junior youth group, “Agents of Change,” who meet regularly and engage in study and service. Children at the Grange children’s class had fun decorating cookies and coloring placements. They gave the placemats to a nearby assisted living facility for their holiday party…and they ate the cookies!”

Baha’is around the world are working with their neighbors to build spiritual neighborhoods, to strengthen these communities to take charge of their own spiritual, social and intellectual development. We invite everyone interested to help build a healthy rhythm of community life:
