Spirit Forum: The Wisdom of Forgiveness

Spirit Forum is a series of monthly brown bag lunches and intimate conversations among people of all cultures and faiths. The theme of the series is 'Awakening the Spirit Within.' Our intent is to discern the essence of life (Spirit) in all life so that we might develop a deeper appreciation for ourselves, our planet, its life giving resources, and all the relationships that make life so dear. Our sub-theme for the winter and spring is 'Awakening the Healing Within — Personal, Communal and the Earth.'

July's program is:

“The Wisdom of Forgiveness”

Facilitated by: Shama Strong and Liliana Penaherrera

Shama Strong and Liliana Peñaherrera will introduce us to the ancient Hawaiian healing practice, Ho’oponopono, It is based on principles and practices of forgiveness. Then while they chant the Forgiveness Prayer, we will each have the opportunity to practice Ho’oponopono.

Liliana and Shama have led workshops and practice sessions for Ho’oponopono in their home and at the New Thought Center for Spiritual Living. They are frequently heard musicians at the New Thought Center for Spiritual Living. Please bring your lunch – we’ll serve tea and water.
