September Activities 2023

September arrives with needed refreshing rain showers and back to school for students!

This is a good time for continuing or starting character enrichment and service action programs, such as those offered by the Bahá’í communities. These are for children, junior youth, youth, and adults.

Youth of 15 and up are needed to be mentors and facilitators of groups of younger junior youth. They will use a series of materials used around the world with great results for many years.

Also, those 15 and up have a series of study courses to learn from, each with service built-in.

Make a difference in your own life, your family and community!

Be a force for good! The Bahá’í communities of the area welcome you.

This month we will have a presentation of the beautiful artwork of our dear youth Zoe. Her work, based on Baha'i quotes, will be displayed at the Center after this event. Please share any works of art that you have been working on, especially if it is based on the Writings. We would love to add to our art displays at the Center! We will also have an art activity at this event, and many games available to play. Children and junior youth get priority for performance in the first hour. Strive: Prayers and Meditations for Youth

A new book of prayers and meditative passages designed especially for junior youth and youth. The period of adolescence is a potent time of change, and this compilation aims to support youth to make time for prayer, meditation, and reflection. Beyond that, it is also meant to inspire young people to feel spiritually empowered to Strive, that their “actions day by day may be beautiful prayers.” It is organized thematically around a number of topics, such as trust in God, joy, difficulties, justice, service, and more.
