IAN Faith Forum: Faith & Healing
Join us April 7, 2010 for the 2010 Community Faith Forum. Faith community volunteers are stepping up and providing more service to those in need. The 2010 Faith Forum is offering a special workshop that will focus on how we can keep our volunteers inspired and valued. Keynote Speaker Rev. Dr. Roy Green, will invite us to explore what it means to be a compassionate community with story, teaching, personal reflection, and exploration of six sacred questions for promoting spiritual health. Three special sessions will be offered.



Happy Naw Ruz!
Baha'is celebrate their new year at the beginning of spring. Naw Ruz (which means "new day" in Persian) begins at sunset on the last day of the Baha'i Fast (March 20) and lasts through sunset on March 21. It is celebrated around the world with parties, prayers and joyful festivities.

Mayors’ Interfaith Luncheon fosters dialogue
On Thursday, February 18, the Fifth Annual Washington County Mayor's Interfaith Luncheon, "Expanding the Dream" took place at Portland Community College’s Rock Creek campus. The Inter-religious Action Network (IAN) sponsored this gathering of minds. About 150 people attended, representing at least a dozen faith communities and several civic and political organizations.

Ayyam-i-Ha
Baha'is all over the Portland area are celebrating Ayyam-i-Ha from February 26 to March 1. Ayyam-i-Ha, or "Days of Ha" are days of celebration, hospitality, charity and fellowship. Find a celebration near you and come and join us.
